New Labor Press has received a communication from the Forum Against Corporatization and Militarization (FACAM) that today, May 21, 2025, the decrepit and reactionary Indian State perpetuated a heinous massacre against the revolutionary comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). During this massacre, 27 revolutionaries were killed including Comrade Basavaraj, the General Secretary of CPI (Maoist). We are told there are reports that he was shot in cold blood while receiving medical treatment.
The revolutionary struggle of the Indian masses and their party, CPI (Maoist), is a heroic beacon for all comrades, workers, and oppressed peoples around the world. To crush this powerful movement, the Indian State has resorted to the most evil and profound repression, engaging in a bloody extermination campaign against the Maoists and the broad masses who support them. In particular this campaign has been the most brutal in the rural areas of Bastar, where this massacre took place.
New Labor Press condemns this massacre in no uncertain terms and calls on the Indian State to end its brutal campaign of extermination in Bastar and the whole country. We support the workers and toiling masses of India in their revolutionary struggle to end their exploitation and oppression and we call on all revolutionary and class-conscious forces in the United States and internationally to engage in solidarity and actions in support of the Indian comrades, to condemn this massacre perpetuated by the reaction Indian State, and stand in unity with FACAM and CPI(Maoist).
Down with the so-called “Anti-Naxal” Operations!
Long Live the Indian Revolution!
