For a long time now we at NLP have received requests from readers and supporters for some kind of compilation of our major works to make it easier to find, share and read our more major texts. Through the collaboration of these supporters and our editorial board we are happy to present a formatted volume of what we view as some of our most important works, up to now, that touch on our positions and analysis of the modern US labor movement. In particular, this current compilation includes: 1) The Importance of the Labor Question, 2) Why Peru? , 3) State Unionism and the United States, 4) Political Economy of the American Labor Movement, 5) Revisionism and Organized Labor in the US, and 6) a new article Highlights from Line Struggle in the Labor Movement that summarizes and highlights key quotes from different polemics and responses we have written over the last year and a half.
Each article in the compilation is also joined by a short introductory commentary on the context and general purpose we had in mind when writing the article.
We hope this type of compilation work is useful, and we encourage our readers and supporters to continue to take the initiative and reach out with ideas and suggestions, like the comrades who helped us format and devise this volume did.
